Brooke Hogan is finally speaking out about why she refused to be part of the upcoming Netflix documentary about her late father, Hulk Hogan.
The documentary is set to release on Netflix on April 22, 2026, just days after WrestleMania 42 weekend and the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, where Hogan will be honored in the Immortal Moment category for his legendary WrestleMania III match against Andre the Giant.
Speaking on the Hollywood Raw podcast with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn, Brooke revealed that she was contacted about appearing in the documentary — but chose not to respond at all. She made it clear that her decision came from years of watching how stories about her family have been told and retold in different ways, often changing depending on who was involved.
“I was asked, I just didn’t answer. If you know the patterns of people you’ve known your whole life, I knew this was going to be something everybody jumped on. Another chance to be on TV, another chance to be in the pocket. And I didn’t know if people were going to be honest or how it was going to be painted. I didn’t want to be part of a narrative that I’ve seen change 8 million times.”
Brooke’s comments make it clear this wasn’t about scheduling or availability — it was about trust and control over how her family’s history would be presented. With the documentary arriving just days after a major WWE weekend honoring her father, her absence from the project is likely to stand out to viewers.
The Netflix documentary is expected to cover major moments from Hulk Hogan’s life and career, including his rise to global fame and his lasting influence on professional wrestling.
