Brock Rechsteiner is already bringing serious Steiner energy to the NFL before even making the New Orleans Saints roster.

The Saints signed Rechsteiner back in May, and on Monday, June 15, they leaned all the way into his family history with a new photoshoot. The team posted shots of Rechsteiner in his Saints jersey while wearing chainmail and holding the old World Heavyweight Championship belt.

That is about as subtle as a Steiner Recliner. The post took off fast, pulling nearly 250,000 views in just over two hours. For a rookie wide receiver fighting for a roster spot, that is a pretty strong way to get people talking.

Rechsteiner is currently competing for a spot in a crowded Saints wide receiver room that includes Chris Olave, Jordyn Tyson, DeVaughn Vele, Mason Tipton, Bryce Lance, Barion Brown, and others.

The wrestling connection is not just for the photos either. Brock is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner, and he has already made it clear that pro wrestling is on his radar once football is done.

Back in May, Rechsteiner told WDSU-TV that watching his father get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame helped push him toward the idea of stepping into the wrestling business someday. He also said Bron Breakker played a big part in convincing him to give wrestling a real shot down the line.

“It all comes with the territory, and I always liked watching him growing up. I love going back watching his old promos, his old wrestling videos, everything like that. It really inspired me when he got inducted to the [WWE] Hall of Fame back in Dallas. I think it’s 2022. I want to pursue football as long as I can, but once I’m done, I’ll get into wrestling too.”

“I work out with him all the time back home. I go fish with him a lot because he moved back to Georgia. He really convinced me to, once I’m done playing football, get into the wrestling business.”

Brock also grew up around the physical side of the business. He said his family had a wrestling room in the basement, and things got rough between him, his brother, and Scott Steiner.

“We wrestled all the time. We have a wrestling room in our basement. Because he was a college wrestler at Michigan too. So we have a Michigan wrestling mat in our basement. We wrestled all the time. There was a lot of fights growing up between my brother and my dad.”

For now, Rechsteiner is focused on football and trying to earn his place with the Saints. Still, the chainmail, Big Gold-style belt, and Steiner bloodline make one thing pretty clear — if the NFL does not work out long-term, wrestling already looks like the next lane. Brock Rechsteiner may be chasing catches in New Orleans right now, but the wrestling world is already watching.
