Braun Strowman clearly isn’t buying Cody Rhodes’ glowing review of Triple H’s WWE booking, and he made sure Rhodes knows that.
While speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Cody Rhodes gave Triple H major praise and said nobody in wrestling could handle WWE’s creative pressure better than The Game right now.
“Nobody has a harder job than Triple H right now. There’s never been a booker in the history of the business that has been beloved the entire time. No one can do that job better than he can do it.”
Braun Strowman saw that and decided to hit back with a pretty blunt response on Twitter as he made it clear the current ratings for WWE programming say otherwise: “Ratings say otherwise lol” That’s a short reply, but it says plenty. The Monster Among Monsters clearly doesn’t agree with Cody’s take, especially with WWE Raw’s numbers becoming a bigger talking point lately.
The June 1, 2026 episode of Raw reportedly hit a 2026 low, drawing exactly 2 million global views. That is a big drop from the show’s early platform peak, when Raw was pulling more than 3.7 to 4.9 million views after its initial premiere.
So while the American Nightmare is giving Triple H credit for running WWE during a difficult era, Braun seems to be pointing at the numbers and saying the praise doesn’t match the trend. Triple H still has plenty of supporters, and Cody is obviously one of them. But Braun’s response shows not everyone is ready to call this run flawless, especially when ratings become part of the conversation.
At this point, Cody Rhodes and Braun Strowman are looking at the same WWE product from very different angles. Cody sees the pressure Triple H is carrying. Braun sees the numbers going down.
