Braun Strowman didn’t sit in some writers’ room and carefully map out one of the biggest catchphrases of his WWE career. It happened live, under pressure, because Vince McMahon threw him into the fire.

While speaking to 10,000 NOs, Strowman explained that the whole thing went down during a random brawl while he was working with Rhyno. Vince decided to mess with him on live television and had the referee tell him to roll out of the ring and cut a promo. Strowman said he had no idea what he was supposed to say. Heath Slater was running around ringside, so Strowman had to think fast.

“Heath, there’s two things that you can do. You can sit on this floor and shut up or you can get in this ring and get these hands like your partner.”

That was it. No long creative pitch. No months of planning. Just Strowman getting thrown a mic and making something happen in the moment. The crazy part is that it worked immediately. Strowman said the phrase took off the second he got backstage.

“We came in the back and it was trending worldwide get these hands all this stuff.”

Strowman’s “Get These Hands” line became one of the most recognizable parts of his WWE run, and fans latched onto it fast. It also showed how much of wrestling still comes down to timing, instinct, and being ready when someone hands you the ball. Braun Strowman turned one random live promo into a catchphrase that followed him for years. Sometimes that is all it takes in WWE when the right person says the right thing at the right time.
