Braun Strowman is shutting down fantasy booking involving Oba Femi — and he says money is the reason why.
After spending the past few months taking shots at Femi following the Ruler’s rise against Brock Lesnar, Strowman has now sparked more conversation by suggesting a potential WWE feud simply isn’t financially realistic. The latest exchange started on Instagram when a fan directly pitched the idea of a program between the two monsters.
“We need a storyline with you and OBA stat!!!!!!”
Instead of entertaining the idea, the Monster Among Monsters immediately shut it down with a response that raised eyebrows, claiming that WWE simply couldn’t afford him right now.
“they can’t afford me lol”
Back in March, after Femi dropped Lesnar on RAW and later went on to defeat him at WrestleMania 42, Strowman repeatedly pushed back against comparisons between himself and the rising star. He first posted a throwback photo of himself manhandling Lesnar and declared:
“There’s isn’t and will never be another like me!!!”
Then, after a fan teased a possible Strowman vs. Femi bout, Braun doubled down even harder by claiming he’d destroy him faster than he beat Goldberg for the Universal Title.
“I’d squash him faster than Goldberg lol.”
Now, instead of just questioning Femi’s hype, Strowman is hinting that WWE would have to spend heavily to bring him back into the fold for a match like that. Whether he’s joking, negotiating publicly, or throwing shade at WWE’s current spending under TKO, the comment instantly got people talking.
So, Braun Strowman clearly still sees himself as the standard when it comes to WWE monsters, but for now, he’s making it sound like fans shouldn’t expect a match with Oba Femi anytime soon.

Do you think Braun Strowman vs. Oba Femi is still a money match WWE should make happen, or has Oba already proven he belongs at the top on his own? Let us know your thoughts.
