AEW has drummed up controversy since Tony Khan opened the company’s doors. Although there are some people who will proclaim that they hate AEW, Booker T isn’t one of them.
Although he has never ventured to AEW, Booker T isn’t going to allow anyone to spread the narrative that he hates Tony Khan’s company. WWE has certainly given him a lot of chances to perform in many ways, but he isn’t looking down on any talent who works for another company. After all, Booker T was team WCW during the Monday Night Wars.
During a recent Q&A episode of Booker T Mailbag, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked a very blunt question. “Why do you hate AEW?” Booker T did not back down when answering this hot-button question.
“Why would someone make a statement like that saying I hate AEW. That is the most ludicrous thing I’ve ever heard in my life.”
Booker T went on to explain that he has ROW students who are currently in AEW. So, the idea of the WWE Hall of Famer hating AEW is outlandish.
“You think that when someone can put a roof over their heads and pay their bills I’m gonna hate on that? Seriously? You people need to get a grip on yourselves and going after people who hate AEW.”
The pro wrestling world is full of opportunities. AEW is another company that offers talent an option to apply their trade. It is a revenue source that has put food on the table for a lot of stars who might not have that chance on American television. So, Booker T isn’t about to hate on it.
Booker T went on to admit that AEW isn’t perfect. Anything can use improvements. That being said, nobody can say that the two-time WWE Hall of Famer is capable of hating AEW at all, because he doesn’t.
