Stephanie Vaquer just got cleared to return to WWE, and Becky Lynch is already predicting she’ll be back on the injured list in three weeks. The Man didn’t even bother pretending to be happy about Vaquer’s recovery, instead telling her that another injury is right around the corner.
The shot came on October 24 after WWE posted a video of Vaquer announcing her return. Vaquer, who has been sidelined with an ankle injury since Money in the Bank, tossed her crutches aside and revealed that she’s officially cleared to compete. She also made it clear that Lynch is the first person she wants to deal with.
“Becky, you wanted to know when I’m cleared? See you Monday.”
WWE shared the footage with a message telling Lynch she’d be seeing Vaquer on Monday’s RAW. Becky saw the post and fired back with a response that went straight after Vaquer’s health.
“I’ll give you three weeks and I’m sure you’ll be injured again. See you Monday 😘”
So much for a welcome-back message. Vaquer spent months recovering from an ankle injury, and Lynch is already counting down the days until she expects her to get hurt again.
Vaquer’s injury happened at Money in the Bank, where she lost the Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan. After the match, she was visibly struggling to walk and needed assistance from referee Jessika Carr before making her way backstage. Vaquer later confirmed that she had twisted her ankle, although she initially expected the recovery to be brief.
“I twisted my ankle. It’s not a big deal — just a couple of days of rest.”
Those few days turned into a longer absence, but Vaquer has now received medical clearance and is ready to get back to business. Unfortunately for her, Lynch has absolutely no intention of making that return a pleasant experience. The timing also makes Becky’s comment even more personal. Vaquer hasn’t wrestled since getting hurt, and rather than question whether she can beat Lynch, Becky is questioning whether she can even stay healthy long enough to stick around.
Both women are now headed for the October 26 episode of WWE RAW, and Lynch has already made sure their confrontation won’t be friendly. Vaquer wanted Becky to know she was cleared. Becky responded by putting an expiration date on her comeback.
With Vaquer finally healthy and Lynch already mocking the possibility of another injury, their next confrontation has gotten a whole lot more personal before either woman has thrown a punch.
