Bayley has quietly disappeared from one of WWE’s SummerSlam weekend events.
The former Women’s Champion was originally advertised as part of WWE’s SummerSlam Prospect Tryout VIP Experience, appearing alongside Shawn Michaels, Natalya and Je’Von Evans for the July 30 event. However, a recent update to On Location’s official website shows that Bayley is no longer part of the advertised lineup. Instead, Ivy Nile has taken her place, as the updated listing now reads:
“Access a private meet & greet with Je’Von Evans, Ivy Nile and Nattie as they stop by to check in on the new wave of prospects!”
The SummerSlam Prospect Tryout VIP Experience is scheduled for Thursday, July 30, with tickets starting at $395. Along with the meet-and-greet session, attendees will also receive access to a Q&A featuring Shawn Michaels, WWE coaches and other WWE Superstars.
At the time of writing, WWE has not explained why Bayley was removed from the event, and there has been no official announcement regarding her status or whether she will still be involved in SummerSlam weekend in another capacity.
The change comes at an interesting time. Bayley’s WWE future has become one of the biggest talking points in wrestling after reports indicated that both WWE and AEW are expected to pursue her if she reaches free agency. It was previously reported that some within the industry believe Bayley should at least reach the negotiation window, with her contract situation potentially giving her enough leverage to negotiate protections that aren’t really common in WWE deals.
Whether Bayley getting removed from the SummerSlam tryout experience is connected to that situation remains unknown. For now, all that’s certain is that WWE has updated the event listing, and Ivy Nile—not Bayley—is now the advertised Superstar for the fan experience.
