Zoey Stark is already feeling right at home in TNA. Days after making her surprise return and attacking Indi Hartwell, Stark says the reaction backstage was nothing but excitement, with everyone welcoming her “with open arms.”
While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Stark opened up about what things were like behind the scenes following her arrival. She said she even got some time to speak with TNA President Carlos Silva and came away grateful for how she was treated.
“Oh yeah, it was a blast. They all welcomed me with open arms. I got to talk with Carlos for a little bit. Just being incredibly grateful.”
There were also plenty of familiar faces waiting for Stark. One of them was Indi Hartwell, who Stark immediately attacked during her first appearance. The two already know each other extremely well from their time in WWE, and Stark is happy that they now get to work together again.
“Being able to work with Indi Hartwell again is so much fun since we know each other so well.”
Stark also reunited with Daria Rae, another familiar face from her WWE days. Between that reunion and seeing people she hadn’t crossed paths with in years, Stark said there was plenty of excitement backstage.
“It was a lot of excitement backstage, and being back with Daria as well, just seeing a lot of faces I haven’t seen in years. I’m excited to be part of the team there.”
Stark made her surprise arrival on the August 27 episode of TNA iMPACT. Hartwell was in the ring arguing with Rae over a potential shot at the TNA Knockouts World Championship when Stark suddenly appeared and attacked her.
That immediately put Stark right into Hartwell’s business, and her comments make it sound like she’s enjoying every second of being back around some old friends—even if she’s beating one of them up on television. Stark’s first night gave TNA fans the surprise. Now that she’s settled in backstage, the fun part is seeing what the company actually has waiting for her.
