New Level isn’t ready to crown the Young Bucks as the greatest tag team of all time. Austin Creed’s reaction made that crystal clear before Kofi Kingston even gave an answer.
Following their AEW debut at All In 2026, Kingston and Creed have been making the media rounds. In a preview of their upcoming interview, Jon Alba asked New Level whether Matt and Nick Jackson belong at the top of the all-time tag team list. Creed immediately started laughing and kept it going for nearly a full minute. Kingston then joined in by praising Alba—not for the question, but for apparently becoming a comedian.
“You’re a comedian. We haven’t done interviews like this in a long time but you meet so many different personalities, and everybody conducts interviews in a different way. Some bring some comedy to these interviews, and that’s your shtick.”
“Is that an Emmy back there? Did you get it for your comedy? I need these laughs. I love these laughs because they give you life, you know?”
Kingston never gave Alba a serious answer, and Creed’s extended laughter said more than enough. New Level may be new to AEW, but they clearly aren’t walking into the company prepared to bow down to one of its biggest tag teams.
A match between New Level and the Young Bucks now feels inevitable. If this was Kingston and Creed’s reaction to one question, things could get ugly once Matt and Nick Jackson respond.
