Another former TNA name could be getting ready to jump ship to AEW, and this one may already be further along than anyone realizes. Dani Luna is out of TNA, and people inside AEW apparently expect her to end up there sooner rather than later.
Fightful Select spoke with sources inside AEW who indicated that Luna has interest from the company. The chatter goes even further than that, with one source suggesting that if she hasn’t already signed, they expect that to happen soon.
Word about Luna possibly heading to AEW was apparently already making the rounds before the company’s recent European dates. One source even thought Luna would debut during that stretch, but she never showed up. That doesn’t mean the move is dead. If anything, Luna would be following a pretty clear path that several former TNA names have already taken this year.
Jake Something was one of the first major examples when he left TNA and signed with AEW under the new name Jake Doyle almost immediately after his TNA contract expired in January. AEW wasted no time throwing him into the mix with the Don Callis Family.
The Rascalz followed right behind him. Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier and Myron Reed made the jump from TNA to AEW on multi-year deals after leaving TNA earlier this year, with the group later getting the full “All Elite” treatment on television.
Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee also signed with AEW after leaving TNA, adding another former Knockouts act to Tony Khan’s roster. That run of departures got enough attention that the trend of TNA talent choosing AEW became a story of its own earlier this year.
Now Luna could be next. The 27-year-old hasn’t worked a heavy schedule in recent months, although she has appeared for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling over the summer. Before TNA, she also spent time in WWE’s NXT UK system after getting there at just 20 years old. Luna eventually spent nearly three years in TNA and became a two-time TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champion with Jody Threat.
So if AEW really has already made its move, Luna wouldn’t exactly be walking into unfamiliar territory. She’d be joining a growing list of wrestlers who left TNA in 2026 and ended up on Tony Khan’s roster almost immediately afterward.
And considering one AEW source already expected her to show up during the European tour, this may be less about whether Dani Luna lands in AEW and more about when she finally walks through the curtain.
