Andrade’s future in AEW remains in limbo as legal issues with WWE continue to loom, but the Mexican star isn’t letting it ruin his mindset. Amid ongoing speculation about a one-year non-compete clause that could sideline him for up to a year, Andrade is choosing peace over frustration.
In a recent Q&A session on Instagram Stories, one fan asked him how he feels about his current situation. While the question referred to the contract dispute with WWE, Andrade didn’t vent or throw blame. Instead, he gave a calm and clear response that reflects where his priorities lie right now.
“I have my health!! That’s what’s most important!”
As previously reported, some in the Mexican wrestling scene believe WWE is using the non-compete clause to pressure Andrade into returning to the company. Though WWE hasn’t publicly acknowledged the situation, whispers of behind-the-scenes contract disputes have only grown louder. The clause in question reportedly stems from Andrade’s original WWE exit, with sources suggesting it may be tied to a breach or technicality that WWE could now be enforcing.
Despite the potential legal minefield, Andrade appears ready. He’s already secured legal representation and isn’t expected to back down if WWE tries to keep him off television for the next year. Until the situation is resolved, he remains sidelined—but clearly not broken.
Whether he ends up returning to WWE or eventually resumes work with AEW or another promotion, Andrade’s focus right now is staying healthy, centered, and prepared for whatever’s next.
