Aleister Black has finally broken his silence after his WWE departure. And judging by his latest video, the former WWE star isn’t looking back.
Months after being released by WWE, Black took to Instagram after becoming a free agent and posted a cinematic video teasing what appears to be the next chapter of his career, accompanied by a simple but ominous message:
“I am the death of me.”
The video opens quietly, with Black waking up and going through an ordinary morning routine before heading to the gym. Then everything changes.
Black is shown staring at the gear he wore throughout both his WWE and AEW careers before the tone shifts dramatically. The pace quickens, the atmosphere turns darker, and Black unveils a completely shaved head as he throws himself into intense MMA-style training.
The former WWE star is seen drilling kicks, knees, takedowns and kickboxing combinations before the video ends with him staring into the camera and breaking into a sinister laugh. There was no mention of where he’ll wrestle next. No announcement. No hints about a promotion. Just a clear message that whatever comes next won’t look like what came before.
The teaser comes several months after Black was released as part of WWE’s post-WrestleMania roster cuts. Since then, reports have suggested that an immediate return to AEW isn’t currently expected, leaving fans to speculate about what his next move could be.
If the video is any indication, though, Black isn’t simply preparing for another comeback. He appears to be introducing an entirely new version of himself.
