AJ Styles’ son is officially in the wrestling business now. Avery Styles made his professional wrestling debut on Friday, June 26, at SCA Wrestling’s Freedom Fling event. The match went down at the Royston Dome in Royston, Georgia, and Avery wasted no time showing people exactly whose son he is.
Avery posted footage from the match on his Instagram Stories after the show. In one clip, he slid under the guardrail at ringside before hitting his opponent with a Phenomenal Forearm. So yeah, he knew exactly what move was going to get people talking.
Online results listed Avery as defeating Ashton Martin in the match. AJ Styles was also advertised to be in his son’s corner for the debut, which made the whole thing an even bigger family moment.
This doesn’t come out of nowhere either. Avery has already been showing signs that he was getting ready for the ring. Back in May, he posted a training video where he hit AJ Styles’ Spiral Tap onto a crash pad.
AJ has already talked about the idea of wrestling with his son one day. After losing to Gunther at the 2026 Royal Rumble, Styles was asked about his future and didn’t fully shut the door on one more special moment.
“I mean, what if my son wrestles? The opportunity to tag with him once. You never know.”
That line hits a little different now. Avery Styles has wrestled his first match, used one of his father’s most famous moves, and picked up the win in Georgia.
