AEW just doubled down on its NFL crossover tease—and this time, the update makes it a lot clearer what’s coming, as they’ll be producing Lucha Libre masks.
After initially posting a cryptic image featuring the NFL shield labeled as an “Officially Licensed Product” alongside the AEW logo, the company has now followed it up with a second teaser on April 14, 2026—and it changes everything.
The new post on Instagram again features both the AEW and NFL logos—but now there’s a major visual clue in the background: a lucha mask. That detail strongly points toward the collaboration being centered around officially licensed merchandise, specifically lucha-style masks: “04.15.2026 @ShopAEW”
The original April 13 teaser already had fans speculating after showing the NFL shield with the “Officially Licensed Product” label, but this new update narrows the focus. Instead of a broad crossover, it now looks like AEW is preparing to roll out NFL-branded lucha masks through ShopAEW.
With both logos front and center again—and now a lucha mask visually tied to the teaser—AEW isn’t being subtle about what’s on deck. The reveal is locked in for April 15, and with this second post, the company has essentially pointed fans in the direction without fully spelling it out.
Do you think AEW dropping NFL-branded lucha masks is a smart crossover move, or should they have gone bigger with this partnership? Let us know your thoughts.
