The AEW World Champion, Le Champion, Chris Jericho makes his way onto the stage wearing a purple pumpkin suit. Jericho takes a seat at a table erected on the stage and awaits Cody for the contract signing. There’s a woman sitting in the middle of the desk, shuffling paper. We see Cody and Tony Schiavone getting out of a car and making their way into the arena.
Cody takes a seat at the table opposite Chris Jericho. Tony Schiavone takes the microphone and sets the stage. Cody and Jericho will face-off at AEW Full Gear on November 9th. The match will have a 60-minute time limit and, should the match end a draw, there will be judges present to make a call on who wins. Cody signs the contract and hands it off.
It’s given to Jericho and the fans boo as he flicks through it. Jericho jumps up and pretends to flip the table, then mocks Cody for almost taking the bait. Jericho tells Cody to sit down and the fans chant “you suck”. Jericho says he doesn’t suck, “Skeeavone” sucks. Jericho says this is the biggest match in the history of AEW, the biggest match of the year, and the biggest match of Cody’s career. Because, if he wins, he becomes what he always dreamt of: World Champion. But if he loses it will prove to him and all of the “entitled millennial jackasses here tonight”, that he might not be as good as he thinks he is. Jericho holds the pen up in the area, the way he used to with the list, and says he’s going to teach Cody what it’s like to be a loser.
Jericho signs it and Cody stands up, takes off his jacket. The fans get excited and Jericho says “calm down hillbillies”. Chris says we have two gentlemen standing here, signing a contract, two professionals not making a mockery of the title. Le Champion has grace, poise, and class, which is why he is going to extend his hand to Cody and he will see him at Full Gear. They shake and Jericho turns to leave but Cody pulls him back and they have a staredown as the fans chant “AEW”. Jericho says we can stand here all night, but you’re gonna be needed elsewhere.
Suddenly, Sammy Guevara appears on the screen behind them and he tells Cody he needs to see something. The camera turns to Jake Hager beating the crap out of Dustin Rhodes. He slams him on the back of Cody’s limo, low-blows him, then knees him against the limo, leaving a dent in the back of the car! The low-blow is something of a call-back to his most recent fight. Jake puts Dustin’s arm in the door and slams it. Cody and co. then appear and Jake leave as Jericho appears, smoking a cigar, and gets into an SUV with them.

Kenny Omega’s entrance tonight was inspired by the video game, Undertale. There was a video package before the entrance that used the Undertale sound effects and graphical style and said all your friends go away in the end, hinting at Kota Ibushi. Kenny then came out dressed as Sans. The Bucks are dressed as Ryu and Ken.

Tags are made to Evans and Omega, with the latter hitting snap dragon suplexes to Evans and Angelico. Sabian comes in and tries to fight Kenny but he too gets hit with the snap dragon suplex. All three heels are standing in the ring, groggy, then all three fall Ric Flair style. Kenny hits the V-Trigger to Evans, then looks for a suplex but Jack lands on his feet and kicks Kenny.
The Bucks hit Evans with a double-team buckle bomb/superkick. Angelico grabs Nick Jackson on his shoulders and Evans hits a double foot stomp to Nick before moonsaulting off onto Matt on the floor. Angelico looks to slam Nick on his shoulders but Kenny hits a big switch knee. Sabian prevents Kenny from diving to the outside, then tosses him out.

The Librarian, Peter Avalon, comes out and tells the crowd to be quiet. He says it’s Halloween, so it’s appropriate for the crowd to be as hideous as they are. He says he and his friend Leva were studying at the libary earlier today and it’s no surprise wrestling hasn’t been in this town for years, it’s rotten.
Jon Moxley appears in the crowd and he stomps to the ring. He hits Paradigm Shift to Avalon. Moxley gets on the horn and says that the grudge match that everyone wants to see will be unsanctioned. That means there will be no count-outs, no rules, no nothing. However, that match won’t officially count and will be stricken from record. The fans boo. Moxley says AEW is trying to keep him down and hold him back. Jon says he has been dealing with this for years; people coming up to him and telling him he’s a different kind of cat. He says he knows what that means, they’re calling him dumb. If that’s the case, AEW can stick it up their ass. He’s the sickest son of bitch and the baddest son of a bitch in the business. He’s unsanctionable. On November 9th he promises wrestling violence the likes of which we haven’t see in decades. He says he will beat Kenny to within an inch of his life and the brass at AEW and TNT can kiss his ass.
