AEW is going all out for the November 4 episode of Dynamite, as it will build towards the Full Gear pay-per-view and is the Blood & Guts edition of the show. That’s why the company has booked a memorable lineup with big matches to keep fans engaged from start to finish.
Men’s Blood & Guts Match: Will Ospreay, Adam Copeland, Darby Allin, Steven Borden & The Young Bucks vs. The Don Callis Family
There’s a lot going on inside this cage. AEW World Champion Will Ospreay teams with Adam Copeland, Darby Allin, Steven Borden and AEW World Tag Team Champions Matt and Nick Jackson against six members of the Don Callis Family: Kyle Fletcher, Kazuchika Okada, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis and Jake Doyle.
Several separate problems have basically been thrown into one match. Fletcher and Knight recently defeated Ospreay and Copeland, with the situation continuing to grow from there until Steven Borden became involved and helped set the stage for Blood & Guts.
Full Gear makes the whole thing even more interesting. Ospreay is scheduled to defend the AEW World Championship against Fletcher at the PPV, meaning champion and challenger get to beat each other up inside Blood & Guts before their title match even happens.
The Young Bucks have a similar problem. Matt and Nick Jackson will defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Davis and Doyle at Full Gear, but first all four men have to survive tonight.
Then there are people like Darby, Copeland, Okada, Wardlow and Knight who make an already crowded situation even harder to control. Blood & Guts isn’t really designed for keeping things under control anyway.
Women’s Blood & Guts Match: Jamie Hayter, Alex Windsor, Willow Nightingale, Queen Aminata, Kris Statlander & Harley Cameron vs. Thekla, Julia Hart, Skye Blue, Persephone, Lena Kross & Megan Bayne
The women are getting their own six-on-six Blood & Guts match, and there isn’t exactly a shortage of unfinished business here either. Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor join Willow Nightingale, Queen Aminata, Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron against Thekla, Julia Hart, Skye Blue, Persephone, Lena Kross and Megan Bayne.
Several groups and rivalries are being pulled together inside the cage, including the issues surrounding The Brawling Birds, Wrathlander, Triangle of Madness and Divine Dominion. There’s also some very recent championship history between Queen Aminata and Persephone.
Aminata defeated Persephone to capture the TBS Championship after earning her opportunity by beating Maya World. Persephone doesn’t have to wait long for another chance to get her hands on the woman who took her title, even if tonight isn’t a championship match.
Full Gear is hanging over this one too. The Brawling Birds and Wrathlander are scheduled to meet for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship at the PPV. Tonight they’re on the same side, which means Hayter and Windsor have to work alongside Statlander and Cameron before eventually standing across the ring from them. That partnership only has to survive one night.
