Adriana Rizzo is finally back on TV, but it might not be in the role fans were expecting.

The 27-year-old NXT talent returned this week on EVOLVE after nearly a year away from the ring. Rizzo did not wrestle on the show, though. Instead, she appeared at ringside and handled an interview with Harley Riggins, which could be a sign that WWE is testing her out in more of a broadcaster role.

Rizzo has been part of the NXT system since 2022, but her momentum was stopped cold after she suffered a torn ACL and meniscus in August 2025. She later confirmed in a social media post that the injury happened during a training session at the WWE Performance Center.

That kind of injury can take a long time to come back from, and Rizzo has now been out of the ring for close to a year. Her EVOLVE appearance at least puts her back in front of the camera while her in-ring future remains unclear.

Rizzo was also tied to one of NXT’s most recognizable groups during her run, Tony D’Angelo’s “family.” The Italian-themed faction spent years together on NXT television, but that group officially broke up while Rizzo was away.

Now she is back on-screen, just in a different lane for the moment. Whether this is a temporary role while she works toward an in-ring return or a real shift into broadcasting remains to be seen, but Adriana Rizzo is back in the mix.
