Aaron Rourke already has the WWE Evolve Championship, but he has another goal in mind—and it involves putting together one of the most glamorous factions WWE has seen in years.
While speaking to Ring The Belle, Rourke praised the talent inside the WWE Evolve women’s division and talked about the friendships he has formed since joining the company.
Rourke specifically mentioned Ariana Grace and Nikkita Lyons, explaining that the three jokingly refer to themselves as WWE’s version of the Brat Pack. He also brought up Carlee Bright after she joined them for a recent photo.
“Nikkita Lyons was one of the first people I met when I went there. She came up to me, introduced herself, and every time I see her, we talk and we laugh. Me, her and Ariana Grace—we kind of say we’re like the Brat Pack.”
Rourke then explained that he wants to gather more of the Evolve women together and lean fully into their flashy personalities.
“The other day, we took a picture with Carlee because she was dressed up. I was like, ‘We need to get a lineup of the Evolve girlies and me. We’re like the brats of the division.’”
That idea quickly turned into a full faction pitch. Rourke made it clear that he has wanted to join a group inspired by The Beautiful People, the famous TNA stable that featured Angelina Love, Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne.
“I would love a Beautiful People-type situation. You don’t even know. I’ve been dying to be in a faction like The Beautiful People. Give me a faction like that.”
Rourke also praised the rest of the Evolve locker room, saying the wrestlers have been supportive of his personality and presentation since he arrived.
“All of them are queens. All the women—and honestly, the men too. Everyone there has been so open, respectful and kind. They’ve always stood behind me, pushed me to do more and told me what I’m doing is awesome.”
The Beautiful People became one of the most recognizable women’s factions of their era by combining ruthless heel work with an over-the-top glamorous presentation. Rourke clearly believes a modern WWE version could work with himself, Grace, Lyons, Bright and other members of the Evolve roster.
Rourke is already standing out as Evolve Champion, and putting him at the center of a flashy, arrogant faction could give WWE another way to showcase his personality while elevating several women around him.
