Lucha Libre AAA presents Verano de Escándalo live from Arena San Marcos in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico. The special event features multiple championship matches and a loaded card as AAA delivers one of its biggest shows of the year.
The AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championships will be on the line as Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice defend against Laredo Kid and La Hiedra. The challengers earned their opportunity by winning a No. 1 Contender’s Match on the July 11 episode of AAA on FOX, and they’ll now look to leave Verano de Escándalo with championship gold.
The AAA World Cruiserweight Championship will also be defended as Rey Fénix puts the title on the line against Mini Vikingo. With both competitors known for their high-flying offense, this championship bout has all the ingredients to steal the show.
Lady Flammer will defend the Reina de Reinas Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Lady Shani and La Catalina. In addition, AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio will team with El Grande Americano to battle Los Perros del Mal in tag team action.

AAA Verano de Escándalo Results (7/25/26): Live Match Updates and Highlights
Corey welcomed viewers to the show as footage aired of Rey Mysterio making his way to the ring. Dominik Mysterio was then shown outside the venue next to his car, showing off his championship.
El Grande Americano made a much different entrance, riding into the arena on a horse before the broadcast took fans inside for the start of the show.
Rey Mysterio is now making his way to the ring. Rey Mysterio got on the microphone and addressed the fans. He thanked them for their support and spoke about their passion for lucha libre. Rey Mysterio said he has been working hard behind the scenes to bring lucha libre to a global stage. He then told the crowd he had some good news, but Omos’ music suddenly hit.
Omos came out with Dorian, and the two made their way to the ring. Dorian reminded Rey Mysterio that he had given him a week to think about what he said. He blamed Rey for El Hijo del Vikingo being sidelined for months after sending him to SmackDown and also took issue with the upcoming Triple Threat Match involving Omos. Dorian then gave Rey one more chance to make what he called the right decision.
“It’s really easy, Rey. Give us back the championship. If not, it’s going to end badly for you.” Rey refused to be intimidated and said he had faced plenty of men throughout his career who thought they could threaten him. “You will not be the first man to threaten me, and you won’t be the last.”
Dorian said it was not a threat and warned that Rey would be hurt personally, professionally and physically if he refused. Omos then towered over Rey inside the ring. Rey stood his ground and gave them his answer. “If things are going to be that way, the answer is no.” Dorian told Rey to face the consequences of his decision as Omos continued staring him down. Omos eventually backed away and left the ring while keeping his eyes locked on Rey as his music played.
Backstage, AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano discussed strategy for their match later tonight. Americano asked Dominik if he was really with him and said he needed to hear it directly. Dominik said they were going to have the biggest match in AAA history, so he would protect what they had planned. Dominik was also wearing a shirt featuring a childhood photo of himself with his “real dad,” Eddie Guerrero.
AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship: Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice (c) vs. Laredo Kid & La Hiedra
Laredo Kid and Mr. Iguana started the match, with Laredo shoving Iguana from behind as he tried to place La Yesca on the ring post. They traded pin attempts before Laredo slapped Iguana across the face. Iguana answered with an armbar and a dropkick.
La Hiedra tagged in, bringing Lola Vice into the match. Vice immediately went after her with open-hand chops, an armbar off the ropes and a series of strikes. Hiedra finally slowed her down with a scoop slam, but Vice quickly recovered and hit both opponents with a hip attack in the corner.
The fight moved outside, where Hiedra caught Vice with a stunner before throwing her back into the ring. She followed with a corner dropkick, choked Vice against the ropes and locked in a deep chinlock.
Vice escaped and fought back with a superkick and a belly-to-back suplex. The men tagged in, and Iguana hit Laredo with a springboard headbutt and a crucifix driver. Laredo answered with a Michinoku Driver and a 450 splash, but Iguana kicked out. Iguana later countered a pumphandle attempt into a DDT and tagged Vice back in.
Vice and Hiedra traded strikes before Hiedra hit a Flatliner. Vice connected with another superkick, but Laredo broke up the pin. Iguana then hit Laredo with an Iguanarana to the outside. Laredo sent Iguana into the steel steps, allowing Hiedra to hit Vice with a face-first slam for the victory.
Winner: La Hiedra and Laredo Kid defeated Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana to win the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championships.
Back from the break, Rey Mysterio held a quick press conference after forgetting to share his big announcement earlier. Rey said he wants to turn luchadores into global superstars and spoke about attending Comic-Con with Mr. Iguana. He then revealed the first wave of AAA action figures. Rey wrapped things up and returned to commentary alongside Corey Graves and JBL for the main event.
Dominik Mysterio & El Grande Americano vs. Los Perros del Mal
Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano may be set to fight for the AAA Mega Championship at TripleMania, but they had to work together against Los Perros del Mal. Daga then revealed Angel Garza as his mystery partner.
Dominik and Daga started the match, with Dominik landing several right hands before Daga knocked him down and took control. Dominik fought back with a dropkick and tagged in Americano, who joined him for some double-team offense.
Angel Garza later knocked Americano off the top rope before tagging into the match. Garza targeted Americano’s leg and kept him trapped in the corner until Americano avoided a charge and tagged Dominik back in.
Los Perros isolated Dominik and prevented him from reaching Americano. Dominik finally created an opening with a tornado DDT before both teams made tags.
Americano entered and cleared the ring, hitting Daga and Garza with a double blockbuster. Dominik later hit a suplex on Daga before Americano joined him to complete the Three Amigos.
Americano followed with a superplex, and Dominik hit a frog splash, but Garza broke up the pin. Dominik then tried to set up the 619, but Daga stopped him with a clothesline.
Garza later collided with the referee, allowing Dominik to hit the 619 and Americano to follow with a diving headbutt. There was no referee available to make the count.
Bronco Nima and Berto Garza then ran down and attacked Dominik. Los Americanos arrived with kendo sticks, while Bravo climbed onto the lighting structure and dove down onto the group below.
Karmen Petrovic also appeared at ringside as Nima sent Los Americanos through the announce table. Americano fought back and returned to the ring, but Garza and Daga continued hitting him with several major moves.
Americano finally started fighting back and reached toward Dominik for a tag. Dominik pulled his hand away and walked up the entrance ramp, leaving Americano alone.
Garza and Daga then attacked Americano two-on-one. Daga hit a double stomp from the top rope and pinned Americano for the victory.
Winner: Los Perros del Mal defeated Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano.
After the match, Dominik was joined on the stage by Omos and Dorian Roldán. The three stood together, making it clear they had joined forces in AAA.
