AAA has finally revealed what its August 30 show in Texas will be called, and WWE didn’t exactly hide the connection.

The promotion announced “Ola de Calor” for Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas, with the name translating directly to “Heatwave” as AAA and NXT prepare to run events in the same building on the same day. NXT Heatwave was already announced for August 30, but WWE also made it clear the event would have involvement from AAA. Now the other half of that setup has a name.

AAA unveiled promotional material for Ola de Calor featuring several major names, including AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio, El Grande Americano, La Catalina, Penta, Rey Mysterio and Rey Fenix. The promotion pushed the event on social media while confirming tickets are already available.

The setup gives WWE and AAA a pretty obvious shared theme for the day. NXT will present Heatwave as its Premium Live Event, while AAA will run Ola de Calor under the same roof. No full card has been announced for either show yet, but the promotional lineup already gives fans a good idea of who could be involved on the AAA side. With NXT Heatwave and AAA Ola de Calor both happening in Edinburg on August 30, WWE and AAA are clearly setting up a major crossover day in Texas.

What do you think about AAA naming its show Ola de Calor to match NXT Heatwave? Let us know what you think and leave your feedback in the comments.
