WWE brought RAW to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and fans were treated to an incredibly loud and enthusiastic crowd. The September 9 episode of WWE RAW was packed with exciting action and storytelling, ensuring every minute on the USA Network was worth tuning into. With WWE’s transition to Netflix set for 2025, the company is maximizing its remaining time on USA by delivering compelling content.

Since they were in Alberta, the presence of Bret Hart added an extra layer of excitement to the show. The two-time WWE Hall of Famer made a rare appearance, and it’s easy to imagine that many fans in the arena bought tickets in the hopes of seeing The Hitman live.

The Calgary crowd was ecstatic to welcome Bret Hart, giving him a larger reaction than any other Superstar mentioned for the show. The energy in the building was electric, as fans knew how special it was to have Hart back on WWE programming.

Following the first commercial break after the hour-long free broadcast, Bret Hart’s segment arrived. Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett were in the ring to invite Hart out, and the Best There Is, The Best There Was, and The Best There Ever Will Be made his way to the ring. Tessitore announced, “He’s back,” as the crowd erupted in chants for The Hitman.

After it was confirmed that Survivor Series is headed to Vancouver in November, Wade Barrett asked Hart how it felt to be back in the ring in Calgary. Hart proudly stated that no one took more pride in being a champion than he did, especially a Canadian champion, as Canadian champions are always ready to take on any challenger. At that moment, GUNTHER made his entrance.

GUNTHER acknowledged the respect everyone backstage has for Bret Hart, but added with a smirk that his favorite Canadian wrestler was Goldberg. Before GUNTHER could continue, Sami Zayn came out to silence the champion and challenge him to a World Heavyweight Championship match.

What’s your take on Bret Hart’s return to WWE? Do you think we’ll see him on WWE RAW more often after tonight? Let us know in the comments section!
