The Rock’s return to WWE was truly spectacular, marked by the adoption of a heel persona reminiscent of his 90s character and The Hollywood Rock, which definitely spiced things up in a good way. Notably, The Rock made a point of targeting Cody Rhodes’ dog Pharaoh frequently and now Brian Gewirtz is keen on reigniting that particular rivalry.

During The Rock’s feud with Cody Rhodes, The Great One went after Cody Rhodes’ dog Pharaoh and called him goofy. He would continue to go on verbal tirade on Rhodes; precious pooch as well.

Of course, Pharaoh had the last laugh anyway as Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. During an appearance on The Masked Man Show, Seven Bucks Senior Vice President Brian Gewirtz was asked about potential plans for The Rock between January and April 2025.

While Brian Gewirtz didn’t confirm any plans as such, he did make it clear he wants to reignite The Rock’s feud with Pharaoh as he ended up insulting Pharaoh by calling him stupid.

”Nothing happens until they step through the curtain and it happens. There are so many variables, a lot of things can happen and not happen. There is stuff that is written in pencil and stuff people might want or not want. If we get to run it back for WrestleMania 41, I’d be thrilled. I’d love to do it and be part of it. It’d be great. I want to get back into it with Cody’s dog. People are like, ‘How can you say that. He’s a good boy.’ Of course he’s a good boy. Everyone knows he’s a good boy. He’s just a stupid dog, that’s all I’m saying. There are smart dogs and dogs that are not so bright. Pharaoh is not so bright, but he’s certainly a good boy. I would love to get back into all that stuff. If that phone call happens and we’re thinking about the same person [The Rock], I’d be extremely thrilled to run it back.”

Brian Gewirtz even noted that fans should expect The Rock to cut more ‘Final Boss’ style promos online during his WWE absence. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether The Rock will go after Pharaoh again upon his return to WWE.
