Jey Uso’s definitely one of the most over Superstars in all of WWE right now and his revamped look had a lot to do with his success. In fact, Uso admits he stole his current look from Bret Hart.

WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart’s contributions continue to this very day as he’s an icon and has inspired countless generations of professional wrestlers, whether from an in-ring standpoint or a gimmick.

In a recent interview with Battleground Podcast, Jey Uso revealed that his gimmick was inspired by Bret Hart. He recalled an old commercial featuring “The Hitman” and expressed his desire to emulate that iconic look, complete with the glasses and everything. Jey Uso mentioned that the creative team fully supported him in achieving that vibe and making it his own.

There was an old commercial with Bret Hart. Do you remember it? That commercial came on and he had the pink glasses. I’m automatically ‘Light bulb.’ Like I need blue ones. I need the exact same ones but blue. Remember, it had the rubber strap on here and it was like very flimsy? I wanted that whole look. I wanted that. We couldn’t get it but kind of took it a little bit to make it mine. But I stole the whole idea from Bret Hart.”
