AJ Styles Breaks Character To Acknowledge Fans In France For The Incredible Love At Backlash 2024

For weeks now, AJ Styles has shown a new side of his character with a bad guy coming out every week on WWE TV. The Phenomenal One came out of a big loss against LA Knight at WrestleMania 40 but got the perfect revenge from the megastar a couple of weeks later on Smackdown. 

Styles challenged Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of WWE Backlash 2024. Though the Phenomenal One ended up on the losing side, he clearly had an incredible time in the ring with the American Nightmare. 

While Styles was a bad guy heading into the PLE, he got a lot of respect from fans in France who kept on reminding him that he was really phenomenal with chants in French. After a couple of days of silence, Styles took to Twitter recently and broke character to address the reaction from the crowd. 

“Wasn’t sure if I should say anything, being a bad guy and all but…Lyon, France. IL EST VRAIMENT, IL EST VRAIMENT, Il EST VRAIMENT PHÉNOMÉNAL LALALALA”

AJ Styles, after his massive loss at Backlash 2024, has been added to the King of the Ring tournament bracket for the Smackdown side. The Phenomenal One will face Randy Orton in the first round of the tournament.
