WWE is gearing up for the King and Queen of The Ring premium live event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, scheduled for May 25. However, some matches originally planned for Monday Night RAW were suddenly removed from the broadcast and shifted to live events instead. In fact, the WWE talent learned of this change at the last minute.

On this week’s Monday Night RAW, Gunther secured his spot in the second round of the King of the Ring tournament, where he will face the winner of the upcoming Rey Mysterio vs. Kofi Kingston match. Additionally, Ilja Dragunov and Jey Uso each won their first-round matches. On the women’s side, Lyra Valkyria, Zoey Stark and Iyo Sky won their own matches.

However, WWE opted to move off the Kofi Kingston vs. Rey Mysterio and Shayna Baszler vs. Zelina Vega King & Queen of the Ring matches to WWE live events this week, which came as a shock to many.

According to a report by Fightful Select, it was noted that the competitors for at least one of the matches that got moved off of RAW came to know of the change on the day of the show.
