Ricky Starks has been a key part of AEW since 2020, consistently delivering impressive performances. However, in March he suffered an injury scare during AEW Collision, leading to concerns about his health. Recently, reports indicated that he visited AEW’s medical team for a check-up, and now he’s provided an update on his condition

On the March 30 episode of AEW Collision, Ricky Starks seemed to have sustained an injury during the tag team title tournament match, where he and Big Bill squared off against Top Flight.

It was then reported that during his absence from AEW television, Ricky Starks was actually in Jacksonville, Florida last week for a check-up with AEW’s medical team. This made fans wonder if he actually suffered an injury.

Ricky Starks took to Twitter and clarified his status, stating that he went there to have his annual physical check-up. He also made it clear that he was not injured in any way whatsoever.

”Yeah because everyone had to do their annual physical. To ease anyone’s mind, I’m not injured. Never was. Pick another narrative pleaseeeee.”

Starks’ direction in AEW is unclear during his absence, especially as Big Bill has since partnered with Chris Jericho. It’s uncertain whether Starks will end up feuding with Jericho upon his return, so we’ll have to wait and see how his storyline unfolds.
