It’s Saturday night and you know what that means! AEW Collision will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the March 30, 2024 episode.

AEW Collision Results (3/30/2024):

The show opens up with Tony Schiavone welcoming us alongside Nigel McGuinness and Ian Riccaboni as TNT Champion “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland makes his way down to the ring for his Cope Open Challenge.

The Rated R Superstar grabs a mic and says this is Copeland Country. Copeland then says unlike The Patriarch he is not going to run and hide and he is going to be a fighting champion. Copeland also says he wants to know who is going to step up this week and Matt Cardona’s music hits and Cardona makes his way down to the ring.

TNT Championship Match: “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland (c) vs. Matt Cardona

The match starts off with both men having a back-and-forth early on. Cardona then hits Copeland on the back and stomps on the TNT Champion. Cardona then continues his offense on Copeland, but Copeland stands on his feet. The action then spills to the outside and Copeland nails Cardona with a lariat. Cardona then turns things around and slams Copeland’s head on the announce table. Cardona then rips a fan’s poster and continues to have the upperhand in the match. Cardona then hits Copeland with a reverse neckbreaker and gets a two count. Both men then take each other down in the middle of the ring.

Copeland climbs to the top ropes, but Cardona chops him. Copeland then nails Cardona and follows that up with a high-flying move for a two count. Cardona then responds with an Impaler, but only gets a one count. Copeland then hits Cardona with a spear to win the match.

After the match, the lights go out and Malakai Black appears. Black spits out black mist before Copeland is attacked by then House of Black. Mark Briscoe then makes his way down to the ring to make the save, but gets taken down. Eddie Kingston also makes his way down to the ring and House of Black finally retreat. A standoff then begins and the lights go out once again. When the lights come back up, the House of Black are gone and Copeland and the babyfaces celebrate to end the segment.

We then head to the back, where we see Lexy Nair interview FTR ahead of their match in the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament later tonight. Wheeler starts off by saying he appreciates being considered the favorites, but they were coming in cold, having lost to Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli their last time out. Harwood then says that while everyone loves a Cinderella team like The Infantry, they had to beat them and had to become the first-ever three-time AEW World Tag Team Champions.

Tony Schiavone is in the middle of the ring and he introduces the AEW World Trios Champions The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens and Max Caster) and “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn and the champions make their way down to the ring.

“Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn starts off by saying he appreciates the fans, but he is pissed off. Gunn then says he is angry at “Switchblade” Jay White not because of the chair shot, but because of the home invasion. Gunn then says next week it will be White vs. himself and then we will see how good White really is. Caster then cuts a promo on the Gunns. Caster tells The Gunns to stay in the back during the match between Billy Gunn and Jay White. Caster then says White is not beating Daddy Ass. Bowens then takes the mic and says he always knew Jay White was a coward. Bowens then brings up the home invasion and takes a shot at Bullet Club Gold. Bowens then says after everything is over, The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn will still be the AEW World Trios Champions.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is an AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarterfinal Match.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarterfinal Match: FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) vs. The Infantry (Capt. Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo)

The match starts off with Cash Wheeler and Shawn Dean. Both men exchange holds until Dean tags Carlie Bravo in. Wheeler then pushes Bravo in FTR’s corner. Harwood is then tagged in and Bravo gets the better of the exchange. Bravo then hits a drop kick on Dax before things break down. After some back-and-forth, The Infantry isolates Wheeler in their corner, but Wheeler catches Dean mid-air and drops him on the mat. Harwood then comes in and hits a chop on Bravo. Harwood then hits Bravo with a superplex and gets a two count following a leg sweep.

FTR then tags in and out and Bravo unloads on FTR before The Infantry take them to the outside. After some back-and-forth, Bravo hits a crossbody, but Harwood rolls up Bravo for a two count. Bravo then gets a two count with an inside cradle. FTR then look for a double team move, but Bravo gets another two count with a crossbody. Harwood then hits Bravo with a piledriver and Wheeler hits a suplex, but only gets a two count. Dean then comes in and The Infantry get a two count after a spear. Bravo then rolls Harwood up for another two count. FTR then hits their Shatter Machine finisher on Bravo to pick up the win.

We then head to the back, where Lexy Nair is interviewing “Absolute” Ricky Starks and Big Bill. Big Bill says that while they weren’t looking past Top Flight, they were the #16 seed while he and Ricky were the #1 seed. Starks then says that he and Bill were going to beat Top Flight, then he guaranteed another victory over FTR in the semifinals.

TNT Champion “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland then cuts a promo on the House of Black. Copeland issues a challenge to the House of Black for a match against himself, Mark Briscoe and Eddie Kingston at Dynasty. Briscoe then talks about his ROH World Championship Match against Kingston this Friday at ROH Supercard of Honor before telling the House of Black that they messed with the wrong people. Kingston then insults the House of Black’s spooky stuff and says they will be spitting blood and teeth instead of mist.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Kyle O’Reilly vs. JD Drake

The match starts off with both men having a back-and-forth before JD Drake misses a Vader Bomb. Drake then misses a cannonball and O’Reilly hits Drake with a some kicks and follows that up with a leg sweep. O’Reilly then hits Drake with a running forearm strike. O’Reilly then hits Drake with some kicks and forces Drake to submit with an armbar.

After the match, The Undisputed Kingdom make their way down to the ring and celebrate with O’Reilly.

We then get a video package hyping Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Will Ospreay for Dynamite.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is an AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarterfinal Match.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarterfinal Match: “Absolute” Ricky Starks and Big Bill vs. Top Flight (Dante Martin and Darius Martin)

The match starts off with Ricky Starks and Darius Martin. Starks delivers rights and lefts on Darius, but Darius comes back with an arm drag on Starks. Both men then have a back-and-forth before Darius gets a two count with a backslide. Dante Martin then comes in and Big Bill is tagged in as well. Dante hits a chop on Bill, but Bill catches Dante and hits him with a chop in the corner. Bill is goes for a double chokeslam and a lariat, but gets taken out. Bill then hits a big pump kick after Starks trips Dante Martin from the outside.

Bill then misses a splash in the corner and Dante takes him down. Darius Martin and Ricky Starks are then tagged in and Darius delivers right and left hands on Starks and Bill and almost gets the three count on Starks. Darius then sends Dante over Starks before getting hit with a spear. Darius then hits a tornado DDT off of his brother’s chest for the win.

We then head to the back, where Christopher Daniels says while he has been in AEW since day one, it never was about tenure as it was about then wins. Daniels then challenges Malakai Black to a match on Rampage.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Thunder Rosa vs. Lady Frost

The match starts off with Thunder Rosa getting an early advantage on Lady Frost. Frost then takes Rosa down with a hurricanrana and gets a two count. Rosa then turns things around and hits Frost with a chop in the corner. Rosa then hits Frost with a running splash. The action then spills to the outside and Frost slams Rosa on the announce table. Frost then then hits a chop on Rosa. After some back-and-forth, Rosa hits Frost with a running elbow strike for a two count. Rosa then places Frost in a submission move in the middle of the ring.

Frost then tries to get back in the match, but Rosa gets a near fall. Rosa then nails Frost with some back elbows. Rosa then hits Frost with a running dropkick on the ropes and gets a two count. Frost then hits Rosa with her heel and gets a two count. Rosa then hits Frost with a backstabber and follows that up with the Tijuana Bomb for the win.

After the match, it is announced that Rosa will be taking on Mariah May next week to determine the next challenger for AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm. We then head to the back, where Renee Paquette talks to Storm about the announcement. Storm first acts betrayed by May, but then kisses her and says she is a genius. Storm then tells Rosa that she should have retired as champion because she would never hold the title again.

We then get a video package on Will Ospreay’s career and a hype of his match against “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson at AEW Dynasty.

Commentary then runs down the card for Dynamite.

We then get the entrances of the main event, which is a Trios Match.

Trios Match: The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) and “The Murderhawk Monster” Lance Archer vs. Blackpool Combat Club (“The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli) and Katsuyori Shibata

The match starts off with Katsuyori Shibata and Lance Archer. Both men exchange strikes before Shibata takes Archer down with a dropkick. Archer then catches Shibata, but Shibata puts Archer in a sleeper hold. Archer then puts Shibata down on the mat and we have a standoff. Dutch is then tagged into the match as well as Claudio Castagnoli. Claudio and Dutch then face-off and Dutch gets the better of the exchange. Dutch then slams Claudio and follows that up with a shoulder tackle. Claudio then slams Dutch in the middle of the ring. Danielson is then tagged in and he gets some offense in, but Dutch puts him down. Vincent is then tagged in as Danielson takes Dutch and Archer to the outside.

Vincent then slams Danielson on the barricade to get complete control of the match. Archer then delivers lefts and right hands on Danielson in the corner. Danielson then hits Archer with some kicks, but The Murderhawk Monster sends Danielson into the corner. The Righteous and Lance Archer then exchange quick tags. Archer then gets some cheap shots on Danielson and stomps on him. Dutch then comes in and Danielson puts him in the Labelle Lock. Archer then comes in and breaks the hold. Dutch then charges at Danielson, but Danielson dodges him. Dutch then gets a two count on Danielson after hitting him with a Bossman Slam.

Dutch and Danielson are on the turnbuckles and The American Dragon hits Dutch with headbutts. Danielson then tags Claudio Castagnoli in. Claudio then delivers left and right hands on Archer, then follows that up with a few uppercuts and a running bulldog. Claudio then goes for the giant swing, but The Righteous stops him. Katsuyori Shibata then takes The Righteous out. Shibata and Claudio then hit. double uppercuts on Archer. Claudio then hits the giant swing on Archer and follows that up with a sharpshooter. Archer then hits a chokeslam on Claudio and Vincent hits Claudio with a Swanton Bomb-like move for a two count. Shibata is then tagged in and he hits Vincent with a running dropkick, then goes for a submission, but Dutch breaks the hold. Danielson then takes him out with a Busaiku Knee. Claudio then takes Archer out on the outside and Katsuyori Shibata hits a PK for the win.

After the match, Danielson, Castagnoli and Shibata celebrates and stands tall as the show comes to a close.
