Jeff Hardy has had a rough patch in AEW, with an injury caused by Sammy Guevara keeping him off AEW television. However, it’s now been confirmed that Hardy has been cleared for an in-ring return, signaling his comeback to the wrestling scene.

Sammy Guevara is currently suspended due to his role in February 14th match against Jeff Hardy, during which Hardy suffered an injury. During the match, proper concussion protocols were not followed, and Guevara’s use of his finishing move on Hardy was inappropriate under the circumstances.

During a special “Ask Matt” episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy was asked about Jeff Hardy’s health and in-ring status. Matt shared some good news as he confirmed that his brother has been cleared for an in-ring return.

“I can let you know this. Jeff had been to his doctor and had seen the AEW doctor, and as of right now, as of a couple of days ago, he is officially cleared. He is cleared to wrestle and he could be competing, I guess, soon. He could be competing any day now. There is your breaking news. Jeff Hardy is cleared after getting his nose broken and his sinuses smashed.”

As reported earlier, Jeff Hardy’s AEW contract is expected to expire sometime in the Spring, so there’s no telling whether The Charismatic Enigma will actually end up sticking with AEW in the long run. Regardless, fans are happy to know he is cleared for an in-ring return, if nothing else.
