R-Truth Doesn’t Rule Out WWE 24/7 Title Returning

R-Truth has indicated that he wouldn’t completely dismiss the possibility of reviving one of the most criticized elements from Vince McMahon’s later years as head of WWE, which was the 24/7 Championship.

Between May 20, 2019, and November 9, 2022, R-Truth captured the 24/7 Championship a remarkable 53 times, holding it for a combined total of 415 days. During this period, he became the unofficial face of the often-criticized title, which, while amusing to some members of the WWE Universe, was generally met with skepticism from diehard fans.

Despite the title’s chaotic and comedic nature, Truth’s charismatic approach helped keep it entertaining. However, after a serious injury sidelined him, the 24/7 Championship was retired, just eight days later.

While the 24/7 Championship has been officially retired, R-Truth doesn’t rule out its potential return, as in the world of professional wrestling, anything is possible. In an interview with Steve Fall of Ten Count Media, Truth acknowledged the uncertainty that often accompanies wrestling storylines, noting that you “never say never.” He elaborated on why the 24/7 Championship could make a comeback in the future, suggesting that wrestling has a way of revisiting past concepts and evolving them in new and unexpected ways.

“I don’t know man. The Miz got me on a whole different path right now. Again this is sports entertainment, it’s the professional wrestling business. You never know what you may see. You never know what may happen. Situations are subject to change.”

We will have to wait and see whether the 24/7 Title will end up returning to WWE someday, as it is likely many fans will absolutely hate the title coming back somewhere down the line.
