Dominik Mysterio has seen a metamorphosis of sorts, as he went from a generic and dull babyface to one of the most despised heels in WWE right now. With that said, reports noted he was going to undergo surgery for an elbow injury but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

On this week’s episode of Raw, a tag team match featuring Dominik and JD McDonagh against Andrade and Ricochet had been announced. However, the match lineup changed unexpectedly when Dominik arrived at ringside with his arm in a sling, indicating an injury. Due to his condition, he had to withdraw from the bout.

As a result, JD McDonagh teamed up with Santos Escobar as a replacement to face Andrade and Ricochet. The new duo couldn’t overcome the chemistry and skill of Andrade and Ricochet, who emerged victorious in the match.

According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by Dave Meltzer, Dominik was slated to undergo Tommy John surgery, and was expected to be out for several months.

However, Dominik Mysterio took to Twitter and confirmed that he will not be undergoing surgery for his elbow injury, as he essentially debunked Dave Meltzer’s report.

”No surgery for this guy…”

It is certainly great news that Dominik Mysterio will not have to undergo surgery, so it is likely he will be returning sooner than expected. We’ll have to see when he will make his return to the squared circle in the meantime.
