The duo had been having their run-ins for weeks, additionally, with AEW’s newest signee, Mercedes Mone added to the mix, who had eyes on both of them from backstage during their bout as potential future opponents for her own debut set to take place at AEW’s next pay-per-view, Double or Nothing.
