WWE announced that the boxing legend Muhammad Ali will be among the esteemed figures honored in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024 and what was more interesting for the choice of another legend to induct him.

During tonight’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, wrestling legend and now fellow WWE Hall of Famer, The Undertaker was announced to be the man to induct, perhaps, the greatest boxer that ever lived by hosts, Corey Graves and Jackie Redmond.

The Undertaker had massive praise for the legend of Muhammad Ali, sharing insights into his personal interactions with him and credited him for revolutionizing the sport of boxing while also acknowledging his contributions to WWE.

In 1976, he engaged in an exhibition match against Japanese wrestling legend Antonio Inoki, and prior to that event, Ali made an appearance at a WWWF (now WWE) show, issuing a challenge to Gorilla Monsoon.

Ali’s involvement in wrestling extended to being a special guest referee at WrestleMania I’s main event in 1985, featuring Hulk Hogan and Mr. T against Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff. He also graced the controversial “Collision in Korea” pay-per-view event in North Korea in 1995 as the guest of honor.

Beyond his sports achievements, Ali was a huge activist, notably refusing to be drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, which solidified his status as a cultural icon. Despite his passing in 2016 at the age of 74, Ali’s influence continues to resonate and will on forever in the history books of professional sports.
