It’s Friday, and you know what that means! WWE Hall of Fame 2024 Induction Ceremony will go down later today from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Ringside News has got you covered with all of the event’s proceedings.

WWE Hall Of Fame 2024 Induction Ceremony Results (4/5/2024):

The show opens up with the Countdown portion as we see Kayla Braxton and Cathy Kelley interview Natalya, Trish Stratus and CM Punk. Punk says the WWE Hall of Fame is the best time of the year. Punk then takes shots at World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins and “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre, pretending he doesn’t notice them. AEW Star Keith Lee is then shown in the background.

Michin is then interviewed by Cathy Kelley. Nikki Cross then shows up and she is all excited. Cross then hypes up Bull Nakano and we see Maxxine Dupri being interviewed. Shayna Baszler is then interviewed next and she talks about Bayley having a lot to prove against IYO SKY.

Peter Rosenberg then puts over the city of Philadelphia and “The Wiseman” Paul Heyman. We then see Kayla Braxton interviewing Charlotte Flair. Flair puts over the legends and we then see Cathy talking to Grayson Waller, who is complaining about SmackDown. Waller then says he looks good and he is outshining Cathy. Rosenberg then talks to Bayley and she jokes that she should be inducted tonight. Bayley then talks about her nerves for this weekend. Bayley then says this crowd is different because it’s a WrestleMania crowd.

Bronson Reed is then interviewed and he makes it clear he is looking towards the WWE Intercontinental Championship after his win in the Andre The Giant Battle Royal. Bianca Belair and Montez Ford are interviewed next and they discuss their respective matches and they thank the Hall of Famers. Peter Rosenberg then says that the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony itself is about to start.

The 2024 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony then officially begins with a video highlighting past Hall of Famers and the new class. Jackie Redmond and Corey Graves then welcome us to the show and the two talk about the night and their outfits. Jackie Redmond then references Carmella, who has been absent from television for over a year. Corey then mentions the personalities in the crowd including WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and CM Punk.

The Usos, JBL, Trish Stratus and Kurt Angle are then shown in the audience, along with Molly Holly and Rey Mysterio. We then begin with the first inductee for the night and it is none other than “The Wiseman” Paul Heyman. Loud “ECW” chants then start up and we get a video package featuring Paul Heyman.

After the video package, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns makes his way down to the ring as the fans do the Bloodline hand gesture. Jimmy Uso is then shown doing it as well, along with Nia Jax and Naomi, but not “Main Event” Jey Uso.

Roman Reigns then starts off by telling the Hall of Fame to acknowledge him. Roman then says this is a ridiculous spot to be in. Roman then says he’s supposed to cut a promo about the greatest promo in the history of the business. Roman then says Heyman is coming out for the first time in his life to talk about himself. Roman then says he almost said no because of how much pressure it was, but he loves his Wiseman.

Reigns then discusses the advice he got from Paul Heyman when he was drunk. Reigns then says he knew it was good advice since he remembered it. Reigns then says according to Heyman if The Wiseman was by his side he would take over the business. Reigns then says Heyman told him that he didn’t need The Wiseman or anyone else, he just needed to believe in himself. Reigns then says those were the words he needed to hear at the time and that is why Heyman is so good at it and why Heyman is the greatest communicator of all time. Reigns then says Paul Heyman is a good guy and that the day Heyman isn’t around is the day Roman is gone from WWE. Reigns then asks the crowd to join him and acknowledge the new member of the WWE Hall of Fame: Paul Heyman. Heyman then makes his way out to the classic ECW theme.

Heyman then hugs Rob Van Dam, Bubba Ray Dudley and Tommy Dreamer. Heyman then gets in the ring and hugs Roman Reigns as well. Loud ECW chants then starts once Paul Heyman is alone in the ring. Several loud chants then begin for Heyman including “You deserve it.” Heyman starts off by saying the fans are right that he deserves it, which gets a huge reaction. Triple H is then shown clapping and Heyman reveals he hasn’t planned anything for the night as he wanted to read the room. Heyman then mentions getting advice from RVD and alludes to his smoking. Heyman then points out his son and CM Punk in the audience. Heyman then says he asked his son Jacob how does he present himself as him. Heyman then jokes about his son smoking like RVD. Heyman then says he gets a lot of praise for doing with his life exactly what he wanted to do with his life. Heyman then says he gets to work with the men and women in this beautiful performance art known as Sports Entertainment/professional wrestling and this gets a huge reaction.

Paul Heyman then says he was the first person picked in a Hall of Fame class completely chosen by Triple H and we get loud “Triple H” chants. Heyman then says only one person can drive the car out of chaos and that is Triple H who provided leadership that was much needed. Heyman puts Triple H over and it makes Stephanie emotional. Heyman then says Triple H asked him not to mention him, but Heyman breaks the rules. Heyman then says Triple H has allowed creative freedom and more stars are being created. Heyman then says he will spend the rest of his life as a Paul Levesque guy and Triple H looks moved.

Heyman then turns his attention to Stephanie McMahon and says if his daughter grows up to be half the woman Stephanie is he has raised a great lady. Heyman then says Stephanie is wearing an ECW cap and jokes that Stephanie married the wrong Paul. Heyman then talks about his kids and references Haku. Heyman then says it isn’t about money, but being worthy of people’s respects and chasing dreams even if you fail. Heyman then says if they do it, they will one day be in a similar spot. Heyman then says his father was a greater orator than he could ever be and he could never find the words to convey how much he loves them both. Heyman then gets emotional stating he wishes his mother and father were here to see this. Heyman then talks about Cody Rhodes and says he wishes Dusty Rhodes was here tonight to see this too. Heyman then says that covers the mushy stuff and it is now time to talk about ECW. Heyman then pulls out a leather jacket from a box to look like Paul E. Heyman even has the classic headset and cellphone. Heyman says he thinks he broke the phone over Sting’s head and swears about WCW being a messed up company. Heyman then puts on the ECW cap.

Heyman then talks about how wrestling sucked in the early to mid 1990’s, bringing up plumbers and the like. Heyman then says WCW wouldn’t accept his ideas and his vision and this led to the creation of ECW. Heyman then says it couldn’t have happened in any other place than Philly. Heyman then says Austin drank his first beer in ECW and says Eric Bischoff got his idea for Cruiserweights from ECW. Bubba, D’Von and Spike Dudley are then shown laughing when they get referenced.

Heyman then says the idea of extreme and ECW didn’t die. Heyman also says ECW is alive today in the matches performed. Heyman then says something else, but it gets censored. Heyman then jokes that CM Punk said he just got cancelled again. Heyman then brings up how they tried to cancel him in WCW and it led to him doing commentary, the Undertaker being created and the Dangerous Alliance being formed. Heyman then says when they cancelled him out of WCW he came back to ECW and when they cancelled him in ECW he came to WWE. Heyman then talks about Brock Lesnar.

Heyman then mentions losing his creative power in WWE during the pandemic and Roman Reigns rescuing him from irrelevancy. Heyman then says for the young men and women on the stage the message is simple and that is they can’t cancel you, only you can cancel you. Heyman then mentions working with The Bloodline and the future of the business. Heyman then mentions getting to work with Bron Breakker, Rhea Ripley, Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams and Jade Cargill. Heyman then says he sees things in them that he saw in Undertaker, Steve Austin, Rikishi, CM Punk, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and others. Heyman then says he is happy to work with all of them, then says let’s take this home.

Paul Heyman then says “ladies and gentleman, my name is Paul Heyman. Welcome to the class of 2024 Paul of Fame. I stand before you not only as the former advocate for Brock Lesnar, I stand before you as the best friend and biggest fan of Chicago’s very own CM Punk and I stand before you as the special counsel and the wiseman for the reigning and defending Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.” Heyman then reveals he is just getting started and he will keep disrupting the industry. Heyman then says that’s not a prediction, that’s a spoiler.

Jackie Redmond and Corey Graves then reveals the next inductee and it is none other than Japanese pro wrestling legend Bull Nakano. We then get a video package of Bull Nakano. Redmond and Graves then say Undertaker and The Rock are still to come. Alundra Blayze then makes her way out as she is about to induct Bull Nakano into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Blayze then starts off by congratulating Paul Heyman for his induction. Blayze then says with immense pride and admiration she will induct Bull Nakano. Blayze then says Bull started her wrestling career at 15 and hundreds of women wanted a spot, but Bull competed against all of them. Blayze then talks about how influential Bull was and how talented she was. Blayze then says beneath the hairstyle and paint was a foundation of steel. Blayze then says Bull’s work ethic was a master class for pro wrestlers and Sports Entertainers. Blayze then says Nakano rebuilt the industry with her own finesse and ignited the fire in the hearts of many women. Blayze then puts herself over as well as her feud with Nakano for redefining women’s wrestling. Blayze then talks about how they used kendo sticks. Blayze then says tonight we celebrate the legacy Nakano has forged. Blayze then says Nakano is more than a Hall of Famer, she is a pioneer and an inspiration. Blayze then says Nakano is her friend and she welcomes Nakano.

Nakano then makes her way out to cheers and she is sporting her classic face paint, but without the hair. Nakano and Blayze then hug in the ring before she poses in front of the fans. The fans then give Nakano a huge applause and she says she’s happy to receive the award. Nakano then jokes that she has been waiting a long time for this. Nakano then says she had a great experience with WWE in 1994. Nakano then says she was 26 years old at the time and life was tough because she didn’t know anything other than pro wrestling. Nakano then says she had 28 matches in a month so it was tough. Nakano then says stuff like transportation was harder because she didn’t know English and finding her way to the hotel was hard too.

Nakano then says wrestling was universal even without being able to speak English. Nakano then says when she was in the ring she felt alive. Nakano then says she wants to thank, but breaks up in tears before continuing. Nakano then says she wants to thank Madusa. The crowd then starts a “thank you Bull” chant. Nakano then thanks WWE and says she did her best not to waste her opportunity. Nakano then says most of all she wants to thanks to the WWE Universe as we have all accepted her. Nakano then says they encouraged her and she gets emotional again. Kairi Sane, Asuka and IYO SKY are shown emotional as well. Nakano then says they will forever be connected to pro wrestling. Nakano then says if there is ever a thing as being reborn, she hopes she can be professional wrestler Bull Nakano again and be back in a WWE ring. Nakano then says she is looking forward to seeing everyone again, then thanks the crowd and calls the Hall of Fame a treasure.

We then get a video package of boxing legend Muhammad Ali.

Jackie Redmond and Corey Graves then reveals the man inducting Ali into the WWE Hall of Fame and it is none other than “The Phenom” The Undertaker. The Undertaker then makes his way out.

We then get loud “Undertaker” chants from the fans and The Undertaker starts off by cutting a classic Muhammad Ali promo. Undertaker then says only one man can truly claim to be the greatest professional boxer of all time and it is Ali. Undertaker then says Ali’s contributions have been unprecedented. Undertaker then goes over Ali’s numerous boxing accolades and says Ali will always be the legend amongst legends. Undertaker then says it his honor to induct the champ into the WWE Hall of Fame. Undertaker then welcomes Lonnie Ali, Muhammad Ali’s wife, to accept the WWE Hall of Fame in Muhammad Ali’s honor.

Lonnie praises everything Muhammad did and she mentions how Muhammad was influenced by WWE Hall of Famer Gorgeous George. Lonnie then says Muhammad was the original global Sports Entertainer. Lonnie then says WWF, which gets censored. Lonnie then says even while battling Parkinson’s disease, Muhammad still remained a humanitarian. Lonnie then says Muhammad would have been thrilled and honored to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, then she thanks the crowd for honoring him tonight. Lonnie then says the fans are the reason he was called the People’s Champ. Lonnie then says a young wrestler asked permission to use the name out of respect for Ali and it was The Rock. Lonnie then says she will present The Rock with the People’s Championship.

The championship is then revealed and The Rock hugs Lonnie and holds it up. The Rock then grabs the microphone and the crowd starts booing. The Rock then reveals how much it meant for him to be called the People’s Champion. The Rock then mentions being booed and the crowd starts booing him again. The Rock then yells at the crowd and they boo him even more. Some fans then chant for The Rock and he says how they don’t know what they want to chant. The Rock then tells Lonnie of all the nicknames he has, The People’s Champion is the one that means the most and he hugs and thanks Lonnie.

We then get a video package of The U.S. Express (Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda).

It is then revealed that Mika Rotunda and Taylor Rotunda are the ones inducting the U.S. Express. Mika starts off by saying tonight is an honor. Taylor then stops to honor Bray Wyatt and says Bray should be there with them, but even though he is not there physically, he is still there. They then say it is their honor to induct the U.S. Express. Mika and Taylor then go over the U.S. Express’ many achievements with an emphasis on their influence on pro wrestling. Mika and Taylor then call the U.S. Express their dad and their uncle and says on behalf of their family, colleagues and fans they want to thank them for the memories. Mika and Taylor then welcome the U.S. Express.

Mike Rotunda and Barry Windham then make their way out with WWE Hall of Famer JBL standing up to acknowledge Barry. Taylor and Mika then help them get to the ring. Mike Rotunda then speaks first and he thanks the fans. Mike then says that being in Philly is a full circle moment for him. Mike then discusses moving in Philly and Barry’s history in the industry. Barry then talks about Mike marrying his sister. Mike and Barry then talk about working in WWE at a young age and how they played hard at the time. Mike then talks about how lucky he is to be with his wife for 40 years now. Mike and Barry then joke about how they should have had hazard pay for working with The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff. Mike and Barry then talk about everything WrestleMania has become and an “IRS” chant breaks out. Mike then says in closing he wishes Windham could have been there. Mike then raises his phone in honor of Windham and had the crowd do it as well. The lights then go out and Bray Wyatt’s music plays as the fireflies are out.

The New Day then make their way out as Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston stop on the ramp and Big E comes out with them. “New Day rocks” chants then breaks out. Woods starts off by mentioning how nice it is for the three of them to stand together in a WWE ring, but it isn’t about them. Big E then gets excited and talks about Thunderbolt Patterson’s influence. Woods then says Big E missed the fans, which got a reaction from the crowd. The New Day then says it was the charisma that endeared the people to Thunderbolt Patterson as it was Patterson who said there were three things that stood out. The New Day then says Patterson was unapologetically himself. The New Day then says without the work of Thunderbolt Patterson and him fighting for equal rights, Woods would have never been King of the Ring, Big E wouldn’t have been WWE Champion and there wouldn’t be a KofiMania. The New Day then introduces Thunderbolt and Big E gives his classic introduction.

Thunderbolt Patterson then makes his way out in a wheelchair, but he stands up and hugs Gerald Brisco. We then get a video package on Thunderbolt Patterson.

After the video package, Patterson is then shown in the ring with The New Day and Scott Spears. Spears starts off by praising Thunderbolt Patterson for his promos. Spears then quotes Muhammad Ali about discrimination. Spears then talks about Patterson’s struggles and says wrestling is better because Thunderbolt Patterson was and is in it. The crowd then chants “Thunderbolt” and it is revealed that he hasn’t been in a wrestling ring in 31 years. Thunderbolt then speaks and says he must pray. Thunderbolt then starts to pray in front of the crowd. Thunderbolt then says the lord puts him on the path of good people. The crowd then starts to clap and he tells them to hold on just a minute. Thunderbolt then says all over the world people meet and greet and they say hello. Thunderbolt then says everybody there has more of an education than him. Thunderbolt then says he was taught what you say and what you think comes back to you and he then asks for an amen.

Thunderbolt then says its time to stop killing people and to treat people how you want to be treated. Thunderbolt then says he won’t hold people any longer, but he wants to say something. Thunderbolt then says he is here for a reason and he was chosen for this moment. Thunderbolt then thanks Bruce Prichard, Gerald Brisco, Brian Blair and others for getting him there. Thunderbolt then says WWE is entertainment, but it is all about wrestling and bad people. Thunderbolt then talks about not hating each other more. Thunderbolt then says he has kept people too long and he thanked everybody. Thunderbolt then tells everybody to be good to each other as his speech ends.

Jackie Redmond and Corey Graves then says it is time for the last inductee. We then get a video package for Lia Maivia.

The Rock then makes his way out and he gets some “Rocky chants from the crowd. The Rock then grabs the mic and thanks the fans, then says there is a big weekend and he has to get everybody home. The Rock then says congratulations to all of the class of 2024 Hall of Fame inductees. The Rock then calls Lia Maivia a real trailblazer in the world of pro wrestling, especially in an era of it being male dominated. The Rock then mentions High Chief Peter Maivia and then further praises his grandmother. The Rock then mentions how everybody would send talent to Hawaii and mentions Ric Flair, Andre the Giant, the Von Erichs, the Fabulous Freebirds and several others. The Rock then mentions Dusty Rhodes as well.

The Rock then talks about the Rhodes family and Cody Rhodes stands up. The Rock then says he has nothing but respect for Dusty and Mama Rhodes. The Rock then says when it comes to this weekend what happens between them is not business, it is personal. The Rock then says he’ll see Cody tomorrow. The Rock then introduces his grandmother and calls her the real Final Boss of the family. The Rock then jokes that she wants to whoop Cody. The Rock then says thank you to his grandmother for everything she did and says let’s get ready for WrestleMania. The Rock’s music then hits and the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony comes to a close.
