Willow Nightingale has a very real problem heading into AEW All In 2026. The hand injury seen during AEW Dynamite wasn’t just part of the show, but the Women’s World Champion is still expected to put her title on the line against Mercedes Moné.
The injury came during the August 26 episode of AEW Dynamite in Glasgow. Moné jumped Nightingale backstage and immediately went after her hand, leaving Willow clutching it in pain after the attack.
The entire scene initially looked like one final storyline twist before their title match at Wembley Stadium. However, Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer later stated that Nightingale’s injury was legitimate while adding that it should not keep her off the pay-per-view.
“Willow’s hand injury is said to be legitimate, but she is expected to be able to work the show this weekend.”
That means Nightingale is currently expected to defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Moné at All In. Unless something changes before bell time, the injury will not force AEW to pull or replace the match.
The timing couldn’t be worse for Willow. Moné already attacked the injured hand on television, and now the champion will enter one of the biggest matches of her reign with a real weakness that her challenger can exploit.
Nightingale captured the title from Thekla at AEW Redemption in July 2026 and has held it for 32 days. Moné earned the Wembley title shot by winning the Owen Hart Foundation Cup earlier this year.
The match is still on, but Nightingale’s condition adds a dangerous new wrinkle. She won’t just be defending her championship against Moné—she’ll be doing it with a legitimate hand injury only days after Mercedes attacked that exact body part.
