CM Punk’s entrance into AEW initially sparked significant excitement, hinting at a promising new chapter in his career. However, the excitement was short-lived as Punk’s time in AEW took a downward turn, leading to him criticizing AEW recently. Dax Harwood seemingly responded to Punk’s remarks after the Collision taping this week, but now he claims it was not directed at Punk at all.

During the April 3 episode of AEW Dynamite, Adam Copeland delivered promo addressing “negative BS” and expressing his desire to shift focus towards the positives. He celebrated AEW and its significant impact on the wrestling industry.

After AEW Dynamite concluded, matches were taped for the April 6 episode of AEW Collision. Dax Harwood came out after his match and cut a promo, which fans felt was about CM Punk.

“With it being someone’s dream, with it being all of our dreams, there‘s always gonna be…you probably know this, in your everyday life, there’s gonna be somebody who tries to strip it down, strip it from you, take it away from you, take your joy away. Don’t let them do it. Don’t let them. I don’t care if they’re in real life. I don’t care if it’s on fake life, social media. I don’t care if it’s in another company. Don’t let anybody strip you of what you love, what you’re passionate about, what you wake up for every single day. I know I talk about it, I talk about it to the point of annoyance. I have what kind of perceive to be my god, my side, my daughter, and professional wrestling, and that’s it. That’s all I got, and AEW affords me that luxury. AEW affords me that life, and now, not only does AEW afford me that life, they afford me to do it with my best friends in front of all you people.”

Dax Harwood took to Twitter and clarified his comments made after the show, where he claimed that none of his words was directed towards CM Punk whatsoever, further adding that he always did ‘rah rah’ promos after shows.

”Try to stay off social media but I read this this morning and I have to respond. I respect fightful’s reporting, but This is a reach. I was in the ring with 3 great friends, in front of a great crowd, realizing what we had all overcame, and felt emotional. In NO way was anything I said about “stealing joy” directed at anyone…much less one of my best friends. Come on now.”

We have also reported WWE and AEW’s reactions to CM Punk’s explosive interview. Nevertheless, fans may not believe what Dax Harwood had to say but what’s done is done.
