Adam Copeland Seemingly Responds to CM Punk’s AEW Criticism on 4/3 AEW Dynamite

Adam Copeland arrived in AEW to embark on a new journey in his wrestling career, possibly at the last leg of his spectacular run. However, he is a fan of pro wrestling above all and keeps his ears open in regards to negative banter said about the upstart promotion, most recently by former star, CM Punk.

The Rated-R superstar opened tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite, emanating from the DCU Center in Worcester, MA, and began with remarks in regard to people degrading his current home field all week, hinting at CM Punk.

The Best in the World had some choice of words to say in an interview last week in regards to his tenure in the company, which marked his return to pro wrestling in 2021 and itself was a turmoil road coming to its conclusion in the summer of 2023.

CM Punk revealed a lot of backstage drama that prevailed during his time in AEW, including his infamous All Out brawl, the backstage altercation with Jack Perry at AEW All In 2023, and even questioned Tony Khan’s leadership for running the promotion.

While Copeland did not exactly mention The Second City Saint, his words were a possible indication of CM Punk only, as it was him only who had. He countered the statement by stating that even in negativity, people were closely attached to pro wrestling and it was a great time to be a fan of the sport.

“There’s been a lot of negative BS that has been spewed this week, there has. Screw that. I wanna talk about the positives… AEW makes pro-wrestling more fun, better and AEW is where the best wrestle.”
