CM Punk’s return at the Survivor Series Premium Live Event sent shockwaves across the world of professional wrestling thanks to its sheer electricity. Punk has now revealed who reached out to him for his WWE return.

Naturally, CM Punk’s WWE comeback was seen as a huge deal and a lot of things have changed since then. After all, The Second City Saint has managed to become such an integral part of WWE now.

While speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, CM Punk was asked about his return at Survivor Series. Punk revealed that it was none other than Nick Khan who called him, just five days before his return.

‘I get a call from Nick Khan and he was like ‘Hey we wanna talk to you.’ I was like cool, ‘I got CFFC. Do you wanna talk on Monday? Great. It was the week of Thanksgiving Monday I spoke to him.”

CM Punk is set to be the special guest commentator for Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Title match at WrestleMania 40, so we’ll have to see how he will perform in the role.
