The mean streak of NXT’s ruthless star in recent memory, Roxanne Perez was on full display after she sent the champion and her ally packing and opened the show on a high note as the road to NXT Stand and Deliver approaches its destination.

The Prodigy had been voicing her frustrations and creating havoc over missed NXT Women’s championship opportunities. Moreover, she took it all out on injuring the current title holder, Lyra Valkyria, and launched a heinous attack on her two weeks ago that sent her to the hospital.

Lyra’s trusted ally, Tatum Paxley was out to look for revenge and on tonight’s edition of NXT, she had the perfect opportunity after being scheduled to battle against Roxanne Perez in the opening bout of the show.

Despite a valiant effort, Paxley fell short to the dangerous Prodigy, who locked in the cross-face and made her tap out for the win. She then demanded General Manager Ava to answer her plea and give her the title match for the NXT Women’s championship that she claimed she never lost.

However, her call was answered by the returning Lyra Valkyria, who rushed to ringside to extract payback for Roxanne’s actions from the past weeks, only to be overpowered and decimated once again by The Prodigy.

The final word was laid out by Ava in the backstage area after Lyra demanded to face Roxanne Perez herself and made their match for the NXT Women’s title official for the upcoming pay-per-view show, NXT Stand and Deliver.
