Cody Rhodes has emerged as one of the most beloved babyfaces in WWE, and much of his popularity can be attributed to his entrance theme song. Interestingly, the band responsible for his theme song has now disclosed Cody’s creative input for the song.

Cody Rhodes’s theme song is titled “Kingdom,” performed by the band Downstait. The song has become synonymous with Cody Rhodes, and fans eagerly anticipate hearing it every week.

A fan took to Twitter and directly asked Downstait how much input Cody Rhodes had for ”Kingdom. Downstait revealed that Rhodes liked the message of Bring Me The Horizon’s ”Throne” and wanted lyrics that reflected his relationship with Dusty Rhodes.

”He said he liked the message of BMTH’s Throne (f___ you then, watch me shine), and wanted lyrics that reflected his relationship with Dusty. While many interpret “You took my dreams, but not my name” as a shot at WWE, it also represents life taking Dusty, but not Cody’s identity.”
