Booker T has clearly been enjoying his time in NXT lately. Being the commentator of the developmental brand and having a great position in the company, the Hall of Famer is one of the most respected stars backstage in WWE. Speaking of respected names, CM Punk has become one since his return at Survivor Series 2023

However, the Best in the World is currently out of action, thanks to the injury he sustained at Royal Rumble 2024. Amid his recovery, Punk was spotted backstage on the 3/12 episode of NXT. While addressing his presence, Booker T hinted at potential confrontation with Punk during his podcast.

“I almost had a little run-in with CM Punk. The internet might want to pick that up. Me and CM Punk almost got into it at ‘NXT’ this week … We’ll talk about it later, because they’re going to pick it up and run with it.”

Following the revelation, tons of wrestling fans wondered what might have happened during the episode. With numerous possibilities kicking in, an earlier report revealed that Booker T hinting at potential confrontation wasn’t true. Rather, he was trying to make headlines.

Addressing the hot topic that got created, Booker T laughed about the huge issue a small line had become and revealed that the run-in could’ve been over the smallest thing possible as well.

“People are making an issue of a 40 second clip out of a 2 hour show… the dispute between @CMPunk could’ve been over a banana in catering hahah. Y’all are making much to do about nothing”

It is clear that there is no feud kicking off between Booker T and CM Punk. Rather, his hint at a run-in was seemingly for a small thing that got a lot of attention. Ringside News will keep you updated with the story.
