CM Punk had the world in his hands after debuting in AEW but it ended up in flames as he was fired last year. In light of his AEW departure, an AEW talent admitted that they miss Punk in the locker room.

CM Punk made a splash in 2021 by joining AEW and quickly becoming a focal point of the promotion. His crowning achievement came at Double or Nothing 2022 when he captured the AEW World Championship. However, his championship reign was marred by injuries, including a torn triceps and a suspension following the controversial Brawl Out incident at AEW All Out 2022.

Despite setbacks, Punk returned to the spotlight in June 2023 as a cornerstone of AEW Collision. However, his tenure with AEW came to an abrupt end due to an incident involving Jack Perry, leading to the termination of his contract. In a surprising turn of events, Punk made a dramatic return to WWE at WWE Survivor Series 2023, signaling a new chapter in his storied career.

A Twitter user posted a photo featuring CM Punk alongside Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR, expressing nostalgia for their past collaboration as CMFTR in AEW. In response, Harwood echoed the sentiment, expressing his own longing for those times with a crying emoji.

The trio last teamed up on the August 12, 2023 episode of Collision, competing for the AEW Trios Championship against Brody King, Buddy Matthews, and Malakai Black. Nevertheless, Punk will likely never return to AEW again and that is for the best.
