AEW has been strengthening its roster with top-tier talent, and the recent addition is none other than Kazuchika Okada. Following his debut on AEW Dynamite, a report surfaced detailing his yearly earnings. However, there is now some clarification regarding his actual earnings.

On the March 6th episode of AEW Dynamite, Kazuchika Okada made a dramatic entrance, joining a face-off between AEW Triple Crown champion Eddie Kingston and the Young Bucks, who also hold executive roles in AEW.

In an unexpected turn of events, Okada did not come to Kingston’s assistance as anticipated. Instead, he surprised the audience by betraying the Triple Crown champion and aligning himself with Nicholas and Matthew Jackson, officially becoming the latest member of The Elite faction.

Tokyo Sports recently reported that Kazuchika Okada has signed a three-year deal with AEW. The contract is estimated to be valued at two billion yen over its duration, translating to approximately $4 million USD per year.

Dave Meltzer on The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that contrary to Tokyo Sports’ report, the accurate figure for Okada’s contract is considerably lower than the initially mentioned 2 billion yen ($13.5 million). However, the actual amount remains undisclosed, but it still represents a substantial contract for the acclaimed wrestler.

”Okada signed a three-year deal. Tokyo Sports reported Okada signed a three-year deal at 2 billion yen ($13.5 million) over the course of the period of the contract, or an average of $4.5 million annually, but that number is not accurate at all. The real number is considerably lower, but it was still a very large number that he signed for.”

Irrespective of the exact amount Kazuchika Okada is earning from his contract, he has committed to staying with the company for the next three years. Therefore, we will have to wait and see how The Rainmaker will be booked in the coming months.
