The world of professional wrestling is populated by individuals who may not be favored by certain fans. LuFisto has been facing criticism from AEW fans, and it seems she is asserting that wrestling promotions are refraining from booking her to avoid jeopardizing their connections with AEW.

If you need a reminder, LuFisto shared several tweets expressing her concerns about the alleged mistreatment of the AEW women’s division. She also asserted that she had received information from talent about the backstage dynamics, describing it as a version of Mean Girls led by Britt Baker, with Tony Khan contributing to the environment.

LuFisto took to Twitter and wrote a lengthy message, revealing that her USA visa was coming to an end and she would explain her exact predicament.

”MY USA VISA COMING TO AN END (Long text, sorry) On August 23, 2024, my O1A visa that allows me to work as a performer and producer in the field of professional wrestling will expire. Since US immigration has all the documentation that proves that I’m eligible for such a visa for individuals with Ability or Achievement, renewing it is a possibility.”

However, it is the type of visa where you need to provide names of promotions and owners, as well as possible itineraries (dates). This means that I need proofs that be working such as a signed letters that states possible dates of work or at least, an idea of how many times I could work.”
Ex: We produce shows every month and would love to use so and so as much as we could”. Since I got the visa, many things changed. I was supposed to be a producer and wrestler for NWA’s Empowerrr, but the project never took off. Then, there was Ring of Honor. I was introduced as a wrestling analyst during the pandemic but when the borders finally opened, ROH was sold, and everyone was let go. I didn’t even get to experience one show live.

LuFisto would then state that those who were supposed to book her regularly are no longer booking her. She also claimed that promotions are not booking her in order to avoid ruining their relationship with AEW.

‘However, I could still work for independent promotions. I did a lot of shows at first but last year, I ended up doing only 10 shows. Now, I don’t have anything planned at all in the United States for 2024.”

”It won’t surprise you if I tell you that many who were supposed to book me on a somewhat regular basis are not. It’s wrestling and it happens all the time. I’m also not dumb as I know some are not booking or talking to me anymore just in case it would ruin their chances/ relationship with AEW. I knew there would be some repercussions when I came forward with my personal story and stories from inside talents, since they are not allowed to talk. (OK, I admit that I never expected a coordinated online attack that would result in many people telling me to kill myself . It is what it is.

LuFisto would then make it clear she does not regret what she said regarding AEW’s environment and wouldn’t change it and lose her integrity.

”I won’t change my story and lose my integrity for bookings, or anything else for that matter. I know that, with so many wrestlers available now, I’m not the flavor of the month anymore. I get reminded almost daily. However, my age doesn’t define my work. I still can go. I can work with any level of experience opponents and bring the best out of them.”

”All this to say that I’m debating if I wilt renew the visa. It’s expensive but if it gets me income, then it’s worth it. I will probably need a new sponsor as well (American citizen, agent, or company).”

LuFisto would end her message by stating that she needs to be booked by promotions so that she would be able to renew her visa, requesting promotions to book her for dates.

”However, if there is no work, then I just won’t be able to renew and work in The United States anymore. I need promotions to back me up. I need dates.”

”If you are a promoter and would like to help me with this in any, way, please let me know. There is still time for me to apply for a renewal or make the decision not to.Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.”

‘LuFisto”

LuFisto was also buried by MJF for her remarks regarding the AEW women’s locker room. Nevertheless, only time will tell whether promotions will end up booking LuFisto, or else she simply won’t be able to renew her visa.
