Kazuchika Okada officially concluded his 17-year stint with New Japan Pro Wrestling on February 1st. Having fulfilled his commitments, Okada is now poised to make his debut in AEW, and it seems that this much-anticipated debut is scheduled for this week’s episode of Dynamite.

It was previously reported that Kazuchika Okada is set to join AEW after he is done with his NJPW commitments. Naturally, fans are wondering what the company will have planned for his appearance.

A significant debut is anticipated for tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Georgia, with reports from PWInsider suggesting that Kazuchika Okada, who officially departed NJPW earlier this year, will make an appearance.

”Sources in Japan confirmed that Kazuchika Okada traveled last weekend in Los Angeles and he is still in the United States. The expectation within Japan is that Okada will debut as an official roster member for AEW at tonight’s Dynamite taping.”

This event aligns with Tony Khan’s characterization of the episode as the “beginning of a new era.” While Okada has previously wrestled in AEW events, this marks his first appearance as an official member of the AEW roster.

AEW introduced a different set for the season premiere of Dynamite as well. It remains to be seen how Kazuchika Okada will be booked in the coming weeks after he makes his debut in AEW.

AEW Dynamite March 6th, 2024 Lineup:

  • Kyle Fletcher vs. Will Ospreay
  • Riho vs. Kris Statlander
  • The Young Bucks will make a huge announcement
  • Samoa Joe addresses his future
  • FTW Championship: HOOK (c) vs. Brian Cage
