AEW Revolution 2024 turned out to be stunning and the Icon Sting got the sendoff he deserved. In one of the best pay-per-views in the history of All Elite Wrestling, numerous title matches ended up with the champion. However, some of them also changed hands opening numerous opportunities for new feuds in the promotion.
Among others, the AEW International Championship was defended during the event when Orange Cassidy squared off against Roderick Strong in singles action. While the fans were rallying behind Cassidy throughout, the Undisputed Kingdom member used the former’s bad back to establish himself as heel and pick one of the biggest victories in his career.
With the pay-per-view officially in the books, Orange Cassidy’s dominant reign as the AEW International Champion has come to an end. In recent post on X, Cassidy broke silence following his title loss at the pay-per-view. While the AEW fans expected to hear much more from him, Cassidy stated that his back was in pain following Strong’s intense assault.
“My back hurts.”
With a new champion crowned, Roderick Strong might meet some new faces to solidify his reign as the champion. However, if Cassidy is able to recover from his intense back injury soon, he might want to return the favor and regain his International Championship from Strong.
