Roderick Strong Wins AEW International Championship at Revolution

AEW Revolution 2024 has been none short of one of the most brutal and action-packed shows in months. While the 8-man scramble match involving a few monsters was intense, the AEW International Championship match between Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong was clearly brutal. 

Orange Cassidy defended his AEW International Championship against former WWE superstar, Roderick Strong in a singles battle. With an injured back for Cassidy, Strong had the upper hand in the match right from the get go. 

However, even after having an absolute advantage, Strong didn’t take any chances to lose his opportunity. Targeting his bad back throughout the match, the Undisputed Kingdom member left fans shocked with some of the most brutal spots. 

While the champion tried to fight back with desperation, Strong was able to use Cassidy’s injury to pick one of the biggest wins of his victory. However, the fans were left stunned when Kyle O’Reilly came out and hugged his former tag team partner. O’Reilly was then offered an Undisputed Kingdom t-shirt which the former WWE superstar returned to Strong. 

With a new AEW International Champion and Kyle O’Reilly’s appearance, Roderick Strong’s future seems to be a mystery. However, a lot might be answered in the next few weeks with his first title defense likely coming at AEW Big Business.
