Daniel Garcia had one of the biggest opportunities of his life on tonight’s AEW Revolution pay-per-view, to win his first major singles title in the company. However, those monumental plans were derailed by the dominant TNT champion Christian Cage, flanked by his entire family at ringside.

The young AEW upstart walked into Greensboro Coliseum looking to stop the wrath of The Patriarch, even resorting to some tactical mind games at the start to weaken the champion’s mindset heading into the defense.

However, despite his best efforts and the odds being even out by his friend Daddy Magic, Garcia found himself at the end of thunderous Killswitch by Christian Cage, who then pinned his shoulders to the mat for the win.

In a video released on AEW’s official X account, Daniel Garcia reflected on his huge loss at the pay-per-view, being dissatisfied with his inability to get the job done.

“I thought losses hurt much when it was just me losing … now that I have people that … people that want to see me win, people that believe in me … people that know … the person, the performer I am capable of being, I let them down.”

However, he was comforted and motivated by Daddy Magic to never stop working hard despite such setbacks, but he was also evidently angered with Christian Cage and his clan stealing the opportunity from Daniel Garcia who almost had the champion down for the win.
