Will Ospreay signed full-time deal with AEW last year and fans were excited about it. He concluded his tenure with NJPW after last week’s New Beginning in Osaka and wrapped up his independent wrestling journey at RevPro. With Ospreay set to be a full-time AEW star, the company is likely planning a major match for Ospreay this year.

Bryan Danielson had made it clear last year that 2024 would be his final year as a regular in-ring competitor. Due to this, he has been competing at an incredible level against top stars all over the world.

This includes his matches against Kazuchika Okada and Zack Sabre Jr. in New Japan and his matches against CMLL stars as well. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that AEW will likely book Bryan Danielson vs Will Ospreay by the end of this year, adding that it is inevitable.

”Bryan Danielson and Will Ospreay are probably going to do a match between now and the end of the year, I think it’s inevitable because it’s Danielson’s farewell year with all these dream matches, so there may be something there this year.”

Will Ospreay will be squaring off against Konosuke Takeshita at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view, which will be his first bout as a full-time AEW star. Only time will tell when The Aerial Assassin and American Dragon will duke it out against each other in AEW.
