Kevin Patrick joined the WWE main roster commentary team back in 2022 but he never quite got a hang of things, which ultimately resulted in his firing this year. Patrick has now snagged a new lucrative job after his WWE release.
As previously noted, WWE closely observed Kevin Patrick’s performance as the lead play-by-play commentator for SmackDown without Michael Cole. Ultimately, he was let go from his position due to not meeting the expectations.
Major League Soccer has announced that Patrick, using his real name Kevin Egan, will be joining MLS Season Pass on Apple TV. Patrick will be hosting MLS 360, which is certainly a lucrative job.
”MLS fans can tune-in for dedicated studio programming to preview weekly matchups, dissect key moments, and hear compelling stories from around the league all season long.”
”The popular live whip-around show MLS 360, which provides live look-ins from every match alongside expert analysis and discussion, will be available in Spanish for the first time beginning in 2024.”
”MLS 360 in English will be led by new host Kevin Egan, who previously served as a game play-by-play announcer.”
”Egan will be joined by returning accomplished studio talent and renowned professional soccer players Sacha Kljestan, Kaylyn Kyle, and Bradley Wright-Phillips.”
In the end, Kevin Patrick proved commentary was just not for him, as fans constantly complained about how performance every week. Nonetheless, Patrick is already back to doing something he loves and we’ll have to see if he will ever return to WWE somewhere down the line.
